BIG Research Day 2022 (BIG22)

The BIG Research day is an annual tradition of the Bioinformatics, Interdisciplinary Oncology and Genome Science + Technology graduate program at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver BC.

Over 100 graduate students from all three programs gather to present their research projects and attend seminars and workshops by academic and industry professionals. Undergraduate students interested in this event are also welcome to join. Registration is required for all attendees, you can register at https://www.bigresearchday.com/register until March 11th, 2022.

Every year the BIG Research Day explores different research areas. This year’s theme is Gene Editing & Gene Therapy. Our keynotes include Dr. Charles A. Gersbach, a John W. Strohbehn Distinguished Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, and University of British Columbia’s very own Dr. Pieter Cullis who received the 2022 Officer of the Order of Canada designation.
