An Afternoon with Stephen Rulisa: Reading from ‘The Path Less Travelled’

The Institute for Global Health at BC Children’s Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre invites you to a special reading with Dr. Stephen Rulisa, visiting professor and clinician from Rwanda, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 1:30 PM. Dr. Rulisa will share passages from his new memoir, The Path Less Travelled. His remarkable story spans a nomadic childhood, refugee life, Rwanda’s liberation movement, and a career shaping medical education.

The event will be moderated by Dr. Deborah Money, Professor & Head of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at The University of British Columbia. It will include selected readings, an audience Q&A, and a raffle for a free copy of the book. Limited copies will be available for purchase onsite.
